New Year Challenge

How are you presenting yourself?

I’m not going to spew any of that “New Year, New You” crap we all hear used by businesses (mostly gyms, let’s be honest) to entice people to try something new that goes against everything they’ve done all year long. I don’t expect someone to change who they are and what they’re all about based on the date.

With that being said, the start of a new year is a great time to reassess our goals and perhaps set some intentions for the coming year. Personally, at the start of each new year I review my business goals and get my marketing calendar set for the coming months.

I challenge you to look at the way you’re presenting yourself to the world. If you’re a business person, do you have an updated profile photo? You get where I’m going with this. Listen, like it or not, we live in a world where appearance matters… and it matters a lot.

Here’s how to know if you need a new headshot. If you’re current profile photo is:
    • from over 5 years ago
    • a cropped snapshot from the beach, a party, your backyard
    • includes your dog or kids
    • is non-existent (shadow head much?)

You should be presenting yourself in a professional manner any time of year, but the start of a new year is the perfect time to get yourself together. And I’m here to help set you up for success. Come, take my hand….this will only take a moment and I promise, it won’t hurt. If anything, it will be a blast.
